A Food Manager Certification demonstrates that an individual has successfully passed an exam assessing their knowledge and skills in food safety management. Local and national regulations require Most food service establishments to have at least one Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) on staff to ensure safe food handling practices and help prevent foodborne illnesses.

Yes! AAA Food Handler’s Certified Food Protection Manager certification meets nationally recognized standards and is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). This ensures our program aligns with industry regulations and is accepted by health departments across the country, just like other leading food safety certification programs.

To earn a food manager certification, follow these steps:

  1. Enroll in an accredited program – Choose an ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) accredited or state-approved program.
  2. Complete the training – Courses are available online or in person and cover essential food safety topics.
  3. Pass an ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) Accredited certification examThe exam tests your understanding of foodborne illness prevention, contamination control, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Receive your certification – Once you pass, download and print your certificate for employer and health department verification.

A Certified Food Manager plays a vital role in maintaining food safety and preventing foodborne illnesses. Certification is necessary because:

  2. It demonstrates expertise in food safety management.
  3. It reduces the risk of foodborne illnesses by enforcing proper food handling procedures.
  4. It enhances the reputation of food service establishments by promoting customer confidence.

A Food Manager Certification is valid for five years. Some local health departments may have additional renewal requirements, so check with your jurisdiction for specific regulations.

Professionals working in dietary or nutrition services in healthcare settings can meet federal food safety standards by completing a program that aligns with § 483.60 for Food and Nutrition Services. terrible design

The notice that a module is complete gets in the way of the next module button.

The next module could be preloaded to eliminate the long wait for the next module to load.

Do we really need to know all the specific laws and their section numbers to know how to serve drinks and stay safe?

If you want servers to really learn how to properly serve or not serve drinks no not zone them out with unnecessary information.

course is too long

August 6, 2025

took me 3 days multiple hours each day to complete.

it should have a written transcript. we cannot hear what is being said unless we have earphones or in a very quiet location. we do this in the backroom where there’s a lot of activity and noise and thankfully I remembered to bring mine in but not everyone has them or will remember to bring them in.
